Fun.ly Cash Auto Feeds are back online! After working out some things with Twitter we are pleased to announce that our new feed system is again up and running.  You may need to re-authorize your Twitter account and/or re-enroll in feeds but then you should have the ability to approve them for posting and send them out.  Thanks for using Fun.ly Cash!

We are happy to report that Fun.ly Cash is back online and all systems are “GO” at Fun.ly.  It has been a frustrating week to say the least and we’d like to thank everyone for their supportive comments.  As Fun.ly has grown, there have been some learning experiences but with each one comes knowledge to use going forward to prevent these types of things from happening in the future.  It is not easy when the partner you’re trying to work with seems to be constantly working against you, but we will prevail!  Maybe now we can get back to making the site better for all of you.  Don’t forget to give us your feedback on bugs and feature requests by clicking the red “bug” icon in the upper right corner of the screen or the support link in Auto Twitter.

Thanks for using Fun.ly and Auto Twitter

Some sad news about Auto Feeds

While we work to restore the functionality to the Fun.ly Cash site (Auto Twitter is already back online) we have some unfortunate news to report.  It turns out that we are not able to automate the posting of any links to Twitter accounts if sponsored links (like Fun.ly Cash links) are being used.  The posts have to be manually approved, otherwise we are in violation of Twitter’s Automation Rules

The UI for the features will continue to persist as we still plan to turn this into a feature that you can use, it will just be more manual (but will comply with the rules).  Thank you for your patience through this frustrating time.  We have been patient as well, waiting for Twitter support to respond to our problems since December 8th and they still have not.  We have had to figure out a work-around in the mean time which is why Auto Twitter is back up but Fun.ly Cash is not.  As always, we will continue to keep you up to date on the state of affairs in our neck of the woods.  Thank you for using Fun.ly.

Another update for everyone regarding our service.  We found out late last night that the root of the problem is  Twitter banned our server from accessing the API.  This was allowing you all to at least continue posting from your own blogs but any posting or authorization from our servers was denied.  This is likely in response to our auto-feed system which we have disabled and will have to discontinue in order to become compliant with the Twitter Terms of Service.   In our efforts to fix the problem last night, we also inadvertently stopped your blogs from updating to Twitter (because we requested an updated API key).

The solution is as simple as a re-authorization, however, we have been unsuccessful at getting ANY response from Twitter as far as un-blocking our authorization server.  I feel confident that once the lines of communication with Twitter are opened we will be able to resolve this matter quickly.    Please be assured that we are doing everything in our power to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

Hello everyone.  You may have noticed that Auto Twitter stopped working yesterday afternoon.  For some reason, Twitter changed our Application’s API key for accessing your accounts and Auto Twitter stopped working.   As a result we have had to release a partially completed v1.6 with the new API key so everything will start working again.  You WILL need to reauthorize your account.

On a related note, it appears that WordPress Plug-in updates are currently having having issues related to WordPress so you may need to refresh your screen a few times if it tells you that the Plug-in files are not available.  Auto Twitter v1.7 will be released in the next week or so which will allow you import your accounts from Fun.ly Cash so stay tuned.
