Well what a crazy week it has been. As many of you know, earlier this week twitter suspended our access to your accounts. The reason for this was because they didn’t like that we were tweeting “I’m using Auto Twitter” on your accounts when you authorized access. We realize the error of our ways and we’re very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused any of you. We have removed that feature and have made several upgrades to the functionality of the plug-in as well. We have been assured that we are now in compliance with all of twitters rules and we are happy to see you’ve upgraded to the newest version of Auto Twitter. Thank you for your continuing support.
Please update your plugin, and note that you must re-authorize your twitter account for the plugin to work.

Twitter has responded and expressed that they would like to work together with us to make sure we are not in violation of any of their terms of service. We are in the process of updating the plugin to become more compliant and should push out an update any time now. Thanks for understanding!

We still haven’t heard anything from Twitter regarding this issue. We will continue to update until we hear anything. In the meantime, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Hello everyone, We were just informed via e-mail without warning or notice that our OAuth key for Fun.ly Cash has been suspended. The exact statement we received:
This is a notice that your OAuth token for Fun.ly Cash has been suspended from interacting with the Twitter API.
Please make sure that your application follows Twitter’s API Terms of Service
To request for your token to be re-enabled, please write to api@twitter.com
Twitter Support
This naturally has come as a surprise to us as we were not aware we were violating any Terms of Service. We have e-mailed twitter support and are attempting to make any changes needed to get our token live again.
Please thank you for your understanding, and we’ll hopefully provide an update soon.

We’re pleased to announce that after a slight hiccup we’ve managed to successfully push out version 1.3 of our Auto Twitter plugin. This new version of the plugin uses twitter’s OAuth authentication instead of basic authentication. Most other wordpress-to-twitter plugins we’ve seen require that you register your blog as a twitter app; we’ve gotten around this by creating our own twitter application and dynamically linking everyone’s plugin to our twitter app. We also updated a few issues, such as scheduled posts not updating properly.
Please note: You will need to click “Authorize to twitter”, login with your twitter account and click “Allow” in order to use the plugin.
Feel free to shoot us an e-mail at info@unrealmediallc.com if you run into any problems. It’s been a long day and I’m heading to bed, night everyone!

We just became aware that twitter updated their API and will have to change some of the code in our plugin. We’re working on it diligently and attempting to negotiate the problems, and will post an update to the plugin shortly.

Our Auto Twitter plugin for wordpress has really been picking up speed lately. Almost 2,000 downloads from the plugins directory and gaining ground. We’ve been getting some great feedback from users since we released our 1.2 version, and are working diligently on adding new features for version 1.3. Stay tuned!
